Carlson is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and attended the Academy of Holy Angels in Richfield. In addition to acting, she modeled, including ad campaigns with Miller Lite, Rembrandt, and Oliver Peoples sunglasses. She appeared in the August 2004 edition of Maxim magazine and on the cover of the October issue of Stuff Magazine.
She is a spokesperson for the Smile Network, a Minnesota-based humanitarian organization that provides life altering reconstructive surgeries and related healthcare services to impoverished children and young adults in developing countries.
She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Manning began acting in the late 1990s, appearing in small roles in several film and television productions, including episodes of The Practice, Get Real, Boston Public, NYPD Blue and Popular. She tried out for WB's Popstars in 2001. Her first role in a major motion picture was in the Kirsten Dunst and Jay Hernandez romantic-comedy crazy/beautiful which was followed shortly by a prominent role in the 2002 Britney Spears feature film, Crossroads, where she played one of the Spears' character's best friends. Her subsequent film roles included supporting parts in White Oleander, 8 Mile, A Lot Like Love and the historical epic Cold Mountain.
In 2003, Manning and her brother formed the band Boomkat. Their debut album, Boomkatalog.One, was released on March 18th, 2003. She sang a rendition of "I'll Take You There" with Tweet in a Gap commercial, and a Boomkat song was included on the 8 Mile soundtrack.
In 2005, she appeared in the drama film Hustle & Flow, opposite Terrence Howard, playing a troubled prostitute in the Deep South. The film received critical acclaim and was generally considered a success. Her next film will be Weirdsville, a comedy co-starring Scott Speedman and Wes Bentley.

Before moving to California, Kristin Cavallari lived in Connecticut, St. Louis, Missouri, Colorado and Barrington, Illinois. Once her parents divorced, her father moved to Laguna Beach, California with her younger brother Gabriel Zamora Cavallari and Kristin Cavallari moved with her mother to Colorado. After having severe problems with her step brother in Illinois, Kristin's mother finally allowed her to move to California to be with her dad and brother. Upon arriving, Kristin was immediately enrolled at Santa Margarita Catholic High school, a private Catholic High School but attended driver's education class elsewhere. While attending her driver's ed classes, she met Melissa Martinez and Alex Murrell with whom she became good friends and after weeks of begging her father, she was allowed to attend Laguna Beach High School.
Kristin went on a double date with a friend and a boy at her new high school who she had a crush on. However, while on the date she realized she wanted her friend's date Stephen Colletti. Since her friend wasn't interested in Stephen, there was no problem when the chemistry between Kristin and Stephen escalated and they began dating. Kristin and Stephen had a very intense relationship. They dated for two years in high school but were involved in a love triangle with Stephen's childhood friend Lauren Conrad who also liked Stephen. During this time, Kristin continued to date other boys. From this time Kristin and Lauren became enemies. After being on and off for two years Kristin ended the relationship with Stephen for good during Laguna Beach Season Two after he returned from College and she had moved on.
After her stint on reality tv was over, Kristin headed to L.A where she attended Loyola Marymount University for a short while before landing a hosting gig on "Let's Get This Party Started" and several other ad campaigns including "Until There's A Cure," Bongo, and PETA. Although her hosting gig was short lived, she has continued to have great luck in Hollywood landing both a guest role on the popular television series Veronica Mars, a lead spot in a music video with Teddy Geiger, photo spreads in Blender and Rolling Stone magazine, and movie roles in Fingerprints and Spring Breakdown.

She married Tico Torres, the drummer from Bon Jovi, in September 1996, in a lavish wedding attended by, among others, Donald Trump. The pair divorced in June 1998. Since 2000, she's been romantically linked with Guy Oseary, the CEO of Maverick Records, and more recently she has been spotted with the British television broadcaster and journalist Jeremy Clarkson. In May 2007 she's expecting her first baby.
