Advanced Mode
And, for the more advanced user, we've included an "Advanced Mode" that allows you to select different cleanup options and select custom folders to clean. Using Advanced Mode gives you full access to cleanup options. You can remove a greater range of files, folders and settings than you can using "Safe Mode".

Schedule Wizard
The Schedule Wizard of ByteSweeper helps you set up a schedule to perform system cleanup automatically at an interval of your choice using your own custom predefined settings. You can schedule to activate in Safe Mode or in Advanced Mode, and you have a choice to run the program hidden (in the background).
Windows Startup Manager
The Windows Startup Manager makes it easy for you to take control of many of the programs which automatically start when you start or reboot your computer. There are two types of autostarts in Windows: The autostart submenu in Start Menu and the startup keys in the Windows registry.
Favorites/Start Menu Manager
With the Favorites/Start Menu Manager you can sort your Favorites and Windows Start Menu entries alphabetically. You also have the option to arrange your Favorites folder manually.
Program Options Dialog
Program Options is the section of the program where you can set your preferences concerning the way ByteSweeper works.
Junk Files Dialog
ByteSweeper features powerful customization tools that allow you to add folders or file extensions to ByteSweeper's Cleanup Routine. This feature is available in Advanced Mode only.
Cookies Dialog
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your hard drive by Web sites and advertisers on Web sites you visit. Sometimes cookies can be used to track you movements from page to page on a particular Web site or across Web sites owned by the same company or groups of companies. Sometimes, however, cookies are used to save your own preferences on sites you visit, such as your location (for weather and news information, etc.), page colors, font styles, and other preferences you select, and, therefore, can be useful.
ByteSweeper gives you the option to "save" cookies that you want to keep, such as preference cookies. ByteSweeper's Cookies Dialog allows you to check the box next cookies that you do not want ByteSweeper to remove.
