It takes you back to the world we all lived in for four years. Here, high school is the epitome of identity and existence. Senior year must be lived with great melodrama and self-importance because after graduation, life becomes a gaping black hole of uncertainty.

So it is that four friends decide they cannot leave high school without having sex. ("We can't go to college virgins. They probably have special dorms for people like us.")

Kevin (Thomas Ian Nichols) and his girlfriend Vicky are at the bittersweet end of a high school romance. They obsess about the L-word and the Big O. Sex becomes an inevitable and strangely joyless rite of senior year.

Meanwhile, Oz — a romantically challenged lacrosse star — discovers his inner Backstreet Boy to win the love of a sweet girl who looks about 12.

Universal manages to serve up another slice onto DVD. This latest sequel finds the Stifler from the last sequel heading to college where he hooks up with a frat and the partying begins.

Erik Stifler (John White) and his pal Mike “Cooze” Coozeman (Jake Siegel) have graduate high school and are going to college. They think they’ve got an easy in because Erik’s cousin Dwight (Steve Talley) is in the hard-partying Beta House. The house faces some competition when the Geek House, who want the Betas thrown off of campus.

They eventually challenge the Betas to the banned Greek Olympiad competition. The former winner of the games returns to judge the games – Mr. Levenstein (Eugene Levy). Meanwhile, the somewhat virginal (kinda) Erik has fallen for Ashley (Meghan Heffern) but must both compete in the games as well as pass the arduous (well not really) Olympiad.

I'm not sure exactl when American Pie became a cultural juggernaut, but I do know when it started to suck: Right after the second movie came out. Now in its fifth installment, the once cheeky Pie has become about as funny as a late-stage Porky's sequel, just biding time until the producers can no longer find girls willing to spend 90 minutes topless and kids willing to pay $20 to watch them.

This installment of the American Pie universe offers a Stifler cousin named Erik (John White), who's in his third year of a sex-free relationship with girlfriend Tracy (Jessy Schram). Generous to a fault, she finally gives Erik a "free pass" for one weekend, and he and his friends decide to go visit another Stifler cousin at his college, where a "naked mile" is being run. (You know, drunk students running across campus in the buff.) Erik meets a girl there. Will he go for it?

“There was never an American Pie 4” I said to a friend who handed me the DVD to my amazement. We are both big fans of American teen comedy and the way they have progressed into “Dude Where's My Car?”, “Old School” and “The 40 Year Old Virgin”. But as you have probably guessed from the lack of publicity and screenshots in this review, the majority of the old cast did not want to appear in this film. I don’t know if it ever made it into a cinema and Future Movies did not receive a DVD copy!

So just how bad is this film....?
