The installer can be used to update any version of ESET NOD32 / Smart Security v3.0, v4.0 on machines running Windows XP/2000/Vista/7 (32bit and 64bit).When installation has completed, the update source referred to by ESET as update server should be properly set within the ESET configuration panel prior to updating the software (please refer to ESET Help file). The product can then be updated offline from ESET tray icon (right click > Update).The definitions can be used to update a product locally, or more likely ported to another computer that needs updating and is not connected to the internet.Note: Username and/or password are not required on the target computer to update the product.
