I loved the Twilight movie, that's how I started reading the books in the first place. I've read them about ten times each and I still like them. But New Moon's big screen adaptation was a huge let down.

It is professional grade quality! Acting, editing, script, costumes, sets,music, make-up--it's all in the professional category. The only complaint I have is that I can't have the DVD in high def. It belongs very proudly on my shelf next to the LotR movies

As trailers go, X-Men made quite an impression. The original, which director Bryan Singer refers to as "almost like a preview for X-Men 2", took $300 million and injected new life into the superhero genre. The upside of its unexpected success was that it made a follow up a forgone conclusion (Singer stresses "X-Men 2 is not a sequel"). The flipside was that it raised expectations to an almost impossible level. Though X-Men 2 doesn't quite achieve the impossible, it comes pretty close.

There has been a lot of argument over whether this is just an exploitation film, or is something else entirely. But man, whatever the hell this is, it's the ultimate form of it. If it's an exploiter, it tops all previous ones. This is probably the only movie ever shown in theaters which combines unsimulated sex and numerous blood squibs into the same scene. And for those who are of a mind to be all shocked over such things, the combination is possibly the most shocking sixty seconds of film ever created by anyone.
